The HP Compaq TC1100 is a full-function notebook/tablet PC delivering performance and compatibility in fast-paced business environments. The HP Compaq TC1100 is an innovative form factor offering mobility and versatility for business computing. In addition, the tablet provides warm swap battery support - simply swap low batteries with a fully charged battery while in stand-by mode. Optional removable keyboard (not included) provides the ability to change from tablet mode to notebook PC mode at the flip of a switch. The multibay/docking station (included) provides unprecedented desktop flexibility, including a DVD ROM/CD-RW drive. Integrated wireless LAN and Bluetooth maximizes mobility in a business setting.

Tipping the scales at a mere 3.1 pounds (without removable keyboard) or 4 pounds (with optional keyboard attached) and sporting a miniscule .8-inch diameter (with optional keyboard detached), the TC1100 contains all the necessary connections, including both Bluetooth and 802.11g wireless networking, standard network and modem jacks, a VGA port, an SD Card slot, and basic audio ports. The system is equipped with an Intel 1.0 GHz Pentium M processor, 512 MB main memory, and an nVidia GeForce Go 420 graphics controller with 32 MB video memory.

Other amenities include a bright 10.4-inch XGA TFT display, a 56K dial-up modem, a 10/100 NIC for high-speed wired network access, integrated wireless LAN for cord-free networking and Internet communications, and an array of Command Control Buttons for one-touch access to important applications and utilities. Multimedia features include an integrated 16-bit Sound Blaster Pro-compatible stereo audio processor, two integrated speakers and microphone, external volume controls and a stereo headphone-out. The system's 6-cell Lithium-Ion battery delivers long life between charges.

OS restore files and drivers are loaded on the tablet for you to burn to CD/DVD for backup purposes.
